EXISTING PROPERTY EQUITY HELPED CREATE THE NEXT STAGE OF PORTFOLIO GROWTH.

A South African living in Dubai wanted to expand an existing property portfolio in the Western Cape.

The client already owned a South African property with available equity. Risi-Pro provided property portfolio guidance and assisted with refinancing the existing property, allowing the released funds to support deposits on two additional sectional title units in the Cape Winelands.

Risi-Pro also provided licensed bond-origination support for the two new home loan applications.

THE OUTCOME

The client successfully added two properties to the existing South African portfolio while continuing to live and work in Dubai.

Both purchases received finance from a South African bank at 90% loan-to-value, based on the client’s particular applications. The required transaction documents were signed from Dubai, without the client needing to travel to South Africa.

The two additional properties strengthened the client’s portfolio and created a foundation for continued property investment in South Africa.

FUN FACT

By refinancing the existing property and using the released equity toward the deposits, the client was able to acquire two additional properties with limited new cash required beyond the relevant transaction and administration costs.
